Dr George Dikaios is a Senior Research Fellow and Project Manager of the UNESCO Chair on Climate Diplomacy. He is also a Research Fellow at the Institute of European Integration and Policy and the Hellenic Foundation for European and Foreign Policy (ELIAMEP). He is a postdoctoral researcher at the Department of Political Science and Public Administration of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA), where he co-teaches the undergraduate course "Climate Diplomacy" and an adjunct lecturer at the Department of Ports Management and Shipping (NKUA). His research has been funded by the NKUA, the A. G. Leventis Foundation and the Ryoichi Sasakawa Young Leaders Fellowship Fund (SYLFF). His work revolves around (European) climate diplomacy, (EU) climate policies, shipping and maritime policies, sustainable blue growth and Greek politics. He is a member of several scientific associations, often participates in international conferences and his articles have been published in Greek and international academic journals. He serves at the Executive Committee of the Greek Politics Specialist Group (PSA) since September 2023 and he is a Scientific Associate of the Climate Change Hub. He has studied political science, with emphasis on international organization at the NKUA and Leiden University (The Netherlands). He was awarded the degree of doctor with distinction, which will be published under the title EU Climate Diplomacy towards the IMO and ICAO: Normative without Power by Palgrave Macmillan in Spring 2024.
