LYDIA AVRAMI

Lydia Avrami is Research Fellow of the UNESCO Chair on Climate Diplomacy. She is also a researcher at the Hellenic Foundation for European and Foreign Policy (ELIAMEP) and a scientific associate of the National Center for Social Research (EKKE). She has tought, in collaboration with Professor Em. Doussis, the lesson "Environmental Governance" at the Faculty of International and European Studies (UoA) (2018-2022). She studied Political Science and Public Administration (BSc) and European and International Studies (MSc) at the University of Athens. She received her PhD in European climate change policy with distinction from the University of Athens and was a Leventis Foundation Fellow (2011-2014). She has collaborated as a visiting researcher with the Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research (PIK) in Germany (2014) and received a short-term research grant from State Scholarship Foundation (IKY). She completed her postdoctoral research with a scholarship from IKY at the Department of Political Science and Public Administration (University of Athens) (2017-2019) regarding the social dimensions of climate change policy. Her research interests focus on energy and climate change policies, social and environmental inequalities, the effectiveness of environmental policies and the role of interest groups.
