Undergraduate course on Climate Diplomacy

The course 'Climate Diplomacy' is offered at the Department of Political Science and Public Administration of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens as an elective course to 3rd and 4th year students. The course delves into how climate diplomacy developed throughout the years. It discusses the formal introduction of climate change to the international agenda in 1992, analyzes the milestones until today, and explores the way forward for successful climate diplomacy. During the course, the case of the European Union is also discussed in detail, as it has developed the most comprehensive institutional framework in combating climate change and performs robust climate diplomacy internationally, as well as other special topics, such as transport or migration.
