The UNESCO Chair on Climate Diplomacy is devoted to education for all at all levels. To that end, under the Chair, an undergraduate course on Climate Diplomacy is taught since the academic year 2019-2020 and a postgraduate course titled Climate Crisis: Policies and Diplomacy in Southeast Europe is taught since the academic year 2023-2024. Moreover, the Chair's team members also teach other university-level courses that promote the causes of the Chair and fall within its thematic scope. Additionally, the Chair promotes life-long learning and several other educational activities: it offers training to professionals, with an emphasis to schoolteachers (training for trainers) and, it systematically (co)organizes simulations of different international and European institutions on climate-related topics; simulations are usually addressed to high-school students and university students. The Chair also offers internship positions every year to university students and recent graduates.
Many of the educational activities, including the courses, are developed under funding programmes of the European Union. The Chair has secured support from the Jean Monnet Module on European Climate Diplomacy (2019-2022) and the Jean Monnet Module on European Climate Policy and Diplomacy in Southeast Europe (2024-2026).
